Claudia Castillo - Dog Walker

Claudia Castillo is a dog walker for West Coast Dog Training. She was born in Central America and raised in Marin County. Growing up she had always had a deep love and affection for animals, and since the year 2000, Claudia has been a volunteer at the Marin Humane Society. She now owns 3 rescue animals of her own, an 80lb Boxer named Tyson, and 2 cats named Genesis and Nala.

Currently, Claudia works as a Dental Assistant at Vintage Oaks Dental Group in Novato. I initially met Claudia when she started working at the dental office. And then, about a year later, Claudia asked me if I could help her train her young Boxer. Tyson is a very sweet, loving, affectionate Boxer, but when Tyson went out for a walk, he had a bit of a flare for the dramatics when he would see another dog. Claudia worked diligently over the next few months training and working with Tyson to overcome his domineering, reactive behavior. And due to Claudia’s innate ability to handle and work with dogs, in just 3 months time Tyson was ready to join a dog walking group and enjoy the company of other dogs on and off leash.

Claudia has always had a deep passion and desire to work with animals. She has spent many hours and nights over the years happily caring for her many family and friend’s animals, and she truly loves and cares for them all as if they were her own. Claudia is a natural fit for our vision and mission here at West Coast Dog Training, which is to give you the peace of mind that comes from our professionalism, integrity, honesty and reliability, and to ensure your animals safety and well being while you are away and they are in our care.
